Role Description:

The Director, Integrated Communications (IC) will work collaboratively with LPA Leadership leading Marketing, Public Relations and Media Graphics efforts, firm wide. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a broad perspective, laser-focused on effectively communicating LPA’s Brand, and continuous quality improvement.  The successful candidate will lead LPA’s Integrated Communications Team in the development of proposals, collateral, photography, graphics and media that reinforce and promote LPA’s Brand and growth in the marketplace.


  • Responsible for leading the Marketing, PR and Media Graphics Team including: allocation of resources, scheduling and assigning work, results, and performance metrics

  • Involved in recruiting and training IC staff, annual IC staff reviews, promoting IC staff career development, a strong mentor who shares professional knowledge across the firm

  • Best practices leadership and implementation in Marketing, PR and Media Graphics areas, identify short term and long range issues that must be addressed, implementing Global Brand directives

  • Develop and monitor annual Marketing Team budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and taking corrective actions

  • Develops and ensures maintenance of LPA Project Database and CRM with in-house ID team

  • Confident presenting internally to the firm and externally; actively involved in industry groups, representing the firm at industry conferences, tradeshows, and webinars

  • Proactive and effective written and verbal communication skills

Specific Goals for the Position:

  • Research and understand LPA Brand, Regional Studio Goals, Key Clients and Client Targets

  • Evaluate LPA’s current Marketing, PR and Media Graphics processes, tools, templates, metrics, budgets and analytics

  • Lead Consensus Building with the IC Team and LPA Leadership to discuss and prioritize best practices and areas for refinement/improvement. Develop & facilitate new IC initiatives.

  • Assist Regional Studio Leaders to envision and establish strategic goals within their Annual Marketing Plans

  • Assist Market Segment Leaders to define methods for achieving global goals and initiatives across Regions

  • Develop Strategic IC Plan and Budget, develop actionable and achievable global goals and objectives for the IC Team to support the Regional Studio Annual Marketing Plans

  • Client Relationship Building develop methodology for effective communication and deepening of Client Relationships with current and future LPA Leaders.  Review LPA’s CRM; current system, history and recommendations, advise on next steps.

  • Proposal Development define Best Practices and provide training for current and future LPA Leaders in effective proposal writing and strategies

  • Implement work flow management processes and tools, project opportunity metrics tracking methodology, improvements and adjustments to incoming and outgoing PR efforts to align with defined goals and objectives

  • Monitor and Report on success factors and IC metrics

Education / Credentials

  • Minimum requirement; Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience, 12+ years of experience managing a marketing and/or public relations team

Skillsets and Tools

  • Microsoft Office Suite 7.0

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign), Adobe Acrobat

  • Knowledge of AP Style

  • Social Media

  • Graphic Skills

  • Additional Knowledge: Open Asset, Cision, HubSpot or MyEmma
