As Principal and Regional Studio Director for Dallas, Craig Drone is responsible for developing the LPA presence in northeast Texas. Craig pursues opportunities with local clients and builds, trains and mentors a team of qualified designers in the area.

With a passion for creating 21st century educational environments, Craig believes the direction of design should reflect the needs of the client being served. He enjoys working with educators and is motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the world. A skilled communicator and collaborator, Craig takes excellent care of his clients, encourages interdisciplinary engagement and leads an integrated team in the pursuit of an ambitious goal.

Craig excels at project management. He balances design, project execution, client relationships, technical production and delivery, and knowledge of the consultants’ roles to achieve a broader, all-encompassing design discussion. He is a true partner and client advocate who negotiates agreements and fees while leading an experienced and creative team.

Craig was introduced to architecture through high school drafting classes. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1988 with a Bachelor in Architecture and immediately pursued a Masters of Architecture with a specialization in Historic Preservation. Craig is LEED Accredited, and a member of the AIA and NCARB.
