Ozzie Tapia joined LPA in 2004 and is a leader and champion for the firm’s multi-disciplinary team approach, leveraging the use of BIM tools to conceptualize, inform and refine project designs. As project designer, he brings a passionate, rigorous and pragmatic approach to each project with the goal of creating environments that inspire, improve and stimulate campuses and communities.

Tapia’s projects have been recognized with local, state and national awards for demonstrating successful design solutions to complex physical, environmental and programmatic needs.

Tapia earned a Bachelor’s of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2004. He is a licensed architect in the state of California and a LEED accredited professional. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), as chair of a student design competition serving architecture schools in the Orange County chapter.  A mentor for future designers, Tapia is a frequent speaker and guest critic at Orange Coast College, Saddleback College and Cal Poly Pomona.
