Located in the hill country just north of San Antonio, this 134,000-square-foot middle school sits on a 55-acre site of preserved live oak trees in Boerne Independent School District. The campus is comprised of two buildings linked at the entrance by a covered walk that greets all as they arrive. Arranged around open space dominated by a mott of mature oaks, the school has views to these stately trees from the library and 550-seat cafetorium, as well as other natural features in the landscape from almost every classroom. The two-story building houses the administration, library, gyms and classrooms, while the one-story building contains the cafetorium, art, music and drama classrooms. Home to more than 600 seventh and eighth graders, Boerne Middle School South shares a site with Kendall Elementary School, tying the district closer together.
