Byron P. Steele II High School is the centerpiece of a fast growing community. The 334,400-square-foot school is designed for 2,500 students, with a core for 3,500. The campus is arranged into four distinct academic clusters to break the student body into schools within a school. Each cluster has classrooms, computer labs, teacher work areas and conference rooms. Linking the campus elements together is a central light-filled, two-story mall that is used to organize the campus. Students are able to gather in an outdoor common meeting ground between the gym and academic building for informal rituals that foster school spirit and morale.
