Golden State Foods (GSF) is one of the world's largest diversified suppliers to the food service industry, servicing more than 20,000 restaurants, including McDonald's and Starbucks. Occupying more than 28,000-square-feet on the top two floors of a high-rise office building, GSF had not renovated since they moved into the space 18 years ago. LPA was selected to help refresh, remodel and reimage their corporate headquarters.

LPA's challenge was to improve on something that had "great bones" but needed to be brought up to the 21st century. The space had operational challenges, as well. The lower-level space had been acquired over time, resulting in separate suites that were not consistent with the upper floor in aesthetics or layout.

Through imaging sessions and thoughtful, interactive discussions, LPA provided design and planning solutions to enhance the elevator lobby, main lobby, executive boardroom and galley. Additionally, LPA helped GSF reorganize departments, redefine the lower level to align with the look of the upper level, create a new interactive training room and manage future growth. Interior designers also were able to assist in coordinating technology seamlessly into the design elements of each space. Energy-efficient lighting fixtures and controls were added, along with accent art lighting along the executive offices.
