The Grossmont Union High School District is located in a 40,000-square-foot facility constructed circa 1920 on Grossmont High School's 40-acre site. Due to its unique stone facade construction, the building is a prominent landmark in the area. LPA performed a seismic retrofit to preserve the heritage of the structure and meet the district's need for office space. Sustainable features incorporated into the Savings by Design upgrade includes operable windows, high-efficiency mechanical systems and low-flow fixtures.
