In the comprehensive campus enrichment effort at Laguna Beach High School, the athletic complex was completely renovated to provide state-of-the-art facilities for the school and community. Working with the district and school officials, a program was established to develop collegiate-level synthetic soccer, football, and track facilities together with a natural turf baseball compound. In addition to the field replacements, the grandstands were renovated, and visitor bleachers, concessions stand, ticket booth and restroom facilities were added. These components were seamlessly incorporated into the overall campus modernization and have contributed to a successful athletic program. Located in the heart of the village, the track and field will serve as a recreational resource for the community.

We met our goals by restoring existing buildings to accommodate new state of the art technology and maintain this important community resource. Site water and drainage were adjusted and enhanced to allow for natural treatment of the water. Softscape areas were positioned to allow warming coastal sun into selected areas while shading critical south, west and east exposures of buildings and seating areas.
