Established in 1889, Marlborough School is one of the oldest independent girls’ schools in Southern California. With the completion of the $27 million dollar athletic facility upgrade, dubbed The Arden Project, the students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities that include a new garden; multi-sport synthetic field; post-tension tennis courts; wellness facility and aquatic center; and increased parking to easily accommodate patrons.

The 9,850-square-foot aquatic and fitness complex features a 25-yard by 33-meter competition swimming pool, ample deck space for dry-land training, a state-of-the-art training room and fitness center, as well as storage for athletic equipment. The new facilities will enhance the athletic programs— including water polo and competitive swimming—and the overall campus culture by providing much-needed open space for student activities and Marlborough traditions. The project addresses key principles of sustainable design, including storm water management, high-efficiency irrigation and solar heating. The Arden Project was completed for the opening of the 2016 to 2017 school year.
