Designed as the initial phase of a master-planned civic center complex, the Patrick Heath Public Library is a 30,000-square-foot, two-story library is nestled along a creek to take in views of the natural area. The new library features an internet cafe and patio, distinctive children's library, teen hub and a variety of adult reading areas including a elevated screen porch, quiet room and study rooms. The exterior materials of stone and metal reflect those that the early settlers of the region used. Rainwater harvesting is one of many sustainable features incorporated as a design feature in this LEED Gold certified project.
