The design for this collection of five structures on St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church's campus creates community among informal outdoor gathering spaces with mature live oak trees. The 48,000-square-foot campus consists of an 1100-seat sanctuary, 350-seat banquet hall and buildings for faith formation for all age groups. The exteriors are punctuated by octagonal shaped towers that define entry, worship and adoration. The gray stone with brick bands recall structures that can be found in Assisi. The octagonal design of the sanctuary allows parishioners to encircle the altar and participate in liturgy under a lacy roof structure of steel and wood illuminated with natural light.
