With more than 25 years of professional experience in the landscape architectural field, Rich Bienvenu has played a key role in the realization of sustainable California landscapes. Over that time, Bienvenu has used design as a medium to connect people with nature and the environment.

Working at LPA since 1998, he has left his mark on more than 200 educational projects, including work at CSU Northridge, El Camino College , Pitzer College and Cal Poly Pomona, to name a few. Bienvenu has additional expertise in landscape design for corporate campuses, both the public and private sectors, and commercial, institutional and mixed-use facilities. As Director of Design for Landscape Architecture at LPA, he is involved in close collaborations with the firm’s allied professions of architecture and civil engineering, collaborating on projects early to blur the line between the interior and exterior. Bienvenu has a presence within each of the firm’s regional offices, promoting site designs focused on programmed social spaces set within sustainable landscapes.

Bienvenu is a graduate of the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University, and has been honored with national and regional design awards for LPA’s work. His passions include mentoring fellow landscape architects and promoting the LPA brand through the pursuit of design excellence.
