Funded by student fees, the 120,000-square-foot Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC) provides ultramodern technology in the areas of health and fitness. Features include three basketball courts; a multi-activity court (MAC); two racquetball courts; five fitness studios for aerobics, martial arts, spinning and dance; a 50-foot rock climbing wall; a cardio and weight lifting area; a recreation and lap pool; and a juice bar. The project is LEED Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The project is LPA's fourth student recreation center within the California State University (CSU) system, which includes Sonoma State University, Cal State East Bay, and Cal State Northridge. Cal Poly Pomona now joins the roster of 14 CSU campuses that have a recreation center in operation or under construction. The facility has been recognized with design awards from the National Intramural Recreation and Sports Association and multiple local AIA chapters.
